Nrityananda is a school of Kuchipudi classical dance founded by Hima Bindu Challa — carrying forward the tradition of her guru, Padmabhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam, through rigorous training, soulful performance, and a vibrant community of students.

Kuchipudi — born in the village of Kuchipudi in Andhra Pradesh — is among India's great classical dance traditions: fleet footwork, sculptural poses, and abhinaya, the art of storytelling through face and hands.
For over two decades, Nrityananda has trained dancers of all ages in the Bay Area — from a child's first adavus to stage-ready soloists — in the direct lineage of the legendary guru Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam.
